I went for my interview this afternoon and although I thought it had gone quite well, I got the dreaded phone call telling me that I had been unsuccessful. Never mind more time to craft.
To cheer myself up I decided to have another play with my Paint Fusion set. It is a combination of rubber stamps, all separate leaves, flower heads, stems and other bits and pieces with acrylic paints and instructions to paint in a style similar to folk art, but with a modern twist and some easy to achieve effects.
First thing I decided to paint was this little trinket box. I base coated then added a crackle effect. Then I stamped some leaves over the top and down across side and front. This was a little tricky, but I placed the stamp on the desk, inked it up and brought the box down on top of the stamp, an unusual way but it worked.
Next I painted the leaves and then the blackberries using my thumb and a pencil eraser. I told you this was a different slant on folk art.
To finish the box I distressed around the edges using some blue ink
