Make a Wish ....

Good morning everyone, hope you enjoyed the lovely sunshine we had yesterday and lets hope we get lots more this week.
I have been getting back into colouring using Copic pens over the last few days, so decided to make a card or two and enter some challenges.
Here's my 'Make a wish' card...

I followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday. The papers are from a pad called Love letters by Mandy Terasawa and are my current favourites, such lovely pinks, soft greens and browns. I matted on some pearlescent paper and gently distressed the edges with Distress inks.

The image is from Lili of the Valley. I have had it for ages, but never got round to inking it up. I coloured with Copics and added a little clear glitter pen on the wings, although it doesnt show up on the photo.
I finished with a couple of paper flowers layered up with a button and a thread bow, along with a couple of silk leaves. A couple of strips of pink ribbon crossed under the image, and thats it. Nice and simple.
Challenges I'm entering....
Sweet Stamping - Fairies / Angels
Allsorts - Buttons and bows

Thanks for looking
Sue xx

Saturday challenge card

Good afternoon, I hope your having a wonderful Saturday.
Last night I put my paints away and got out my Promarkers and Copics. I stamped lots of House Mouse images and had a few hours colouring in. Love it, so relaxing. I been very busy today, taking the children to and fro their activities, doing the usual house work, washing, etc, etc, but
I've just managed to fit in making a quick card to enter some challenges. Here it is.....

I followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday, always a good idea if short on time, otherwise I sit swapping and changing the layout for ages.

I used this adorable HM image, coloured last night with Promarkers and Copics.
I layered up on green and pink card and used a backing paper from stash, edging all layers and edges with Forest Moss Distress ink

I used a Martha Stewart border punch under the image and a sentiment from a House Mouse rubber stamp set. I finished off by layering up some flowers with a metal centre embellishment and some small plastic daisies and popped a gem stone in the centre of each.

Hope you like it.
I am also entering it into these challenges
Sweet Stampin - Use lots of green
Joanna Sheen - Spring is in the air
Stamp, Scrap and Doodles - Green and White
Totally Gorjuss - Spring
Simon says Stamp - a little bit of green
Catch up tomorrow,
Hugs Sue x

Easter Bunny

Good morning all, I actually managed to make a challenge card last night. Yippee!
I was inspired by the sketch at Sweet Stampin. I turned it on its side and used ovals instead of circles.
My papers were from a papermania pad and I matted onto pink and yellow card to brighten it all up and also used a Martha Stewart border punch along the bottom strip.
The challenge at House Mouse is Easter, so I chose this cutie image of bunny and mouse having a nap, probably after eating too many easter eggs. I coloured it with Promarkers and Copics.
I die cut the egg shapes and stamped a sentiment on one of them, then finished off with some sparkly pink gems.
Other challenges that inspired this card
Quirky Crafts - Easter/ Spring inc punching and sparklies
Scrappy Frogs - Easter
Pollycraft -Easter
CRAFT - Easter
Top Tip Tuesday - Spring has Sprung
For Fun - Spring Colours
Rainbow Lady - Spring time
A Spoonful of Sugar - All creatures great and small

Special Friend

Well the weekend is over and we're back to Monday, for me that means the children are back at school so I can do some crafting.
Today I have made a card following the sketch at Truly Scrumptious . Last day today so only just made it in time for challenge.
I used a paper from a 12 x 12 pad by AnneMarie designs, that I had completely forgotten about.
The colours were inspired by the Photo inspiration at Dutch Dare  challenge.
I stamped and coloured Madison Attitude by Kenny K with Copics, unfortunately the blue ended up slightly the wrong shade.
In order to enter the card into Kenny K's Krafty Girlz challenge this week - Lace, ribbon and / or bows. I added some raffia lace, velvet ribbon and instead of bows I knotted some thread through the heart buttons.
I am also entering it into these challenges;
Die Cut Dreams - Mothers day or Special friend- I chose special friend - sentiment
Rainbow Lady - Best friend (not sure if this fits the challenge properly as this is a card for a best friend, rather than using an image of best friends playing together) Please let me know!
Pollycraft - Teens
Sweet Stampin - Favourite Movie - I love Pretty Woman and this image reminds me of the part when Julia Roberts goes shopping on Rodeo Drive and comes back loaded with bags.

Thats me done I'm off back to my craft room, to make some more cards, got a couple of DT ones to complete.
Enjoy the rest of your day!
xx

Two cards, one post

Good morning all, hope you are all well. Its the first day of March, and spring is in the air. Hooray!
I managed to finish a couple of cards last night, they are commision cards, but I thought I would enter them in some challenges. I dont think that the recipients will be looking on my blog, but just in case if your name is Mary and your 60 at the end of the week, then look away now.
This was made using Hunkydory papers and toppers, I just love these diamond butterflies. Its a zigzag style, personalised to a special friend and blinged up, with lots of glitter and diamontes. Sorry the photo doesn't really show it at its best.

I wrote a suitable verse and put it on the inside, right hand panel.
Hope both the sender and receiver like it.
I would like to enter it into these challenges:
Hanna and friends - Purple plus one other colour
Crafty Catz - Friendship

This one is made quite simply with some Kanban card, ribbon, card candy and black gems.
I would like to enter this in these challenges;
Totally Gorjuss - Black and.....pink
Sweet Stampin - Oh so girly

I'm off to get some housework done (boring, but must be done) I'll be back later with another card.
Need to colour my hair and make myself look a little more presentable too, I've got a job interview on Thursday. Wish me luck!
