African canvas using Powertex

I just received a secret art box from Powertex and couldn't wait to play. I used some wooden shapes, Powertex, Bisters, sprays and a little dark green and gold pigments. I had a vision in my head that I wanted to create, but didn't know how to achieve it, so I just slapped on Powertex and then sprayed with yellow, red, brown Bisters and a little egg yolk spray. I put a plastic cup upside down in the middle before spraying to leave a lighter area.

I added some texture paste to the wood shapes and then sprayed with the Bisters once dry. Finally I dry brushed over with some dark green on the tree and gold on the whole canvas mainly under the light circle and on the giraffe.

* Extra news - I have just booked myself on some extra training with Powertex at the end of this month, so when completed I will be a fully fledged certified Powertex Tutor. I'm so excited! 😁

Fundraising for a donkey sanctuary

Good morning crafty friends, here's a cute donkey canvas I painted.
I was contacted by a lovely lady who was raising funds for Radcliffe donkey sanctuary. They were holding a craft fair and wanted donations for the raffle and to sell on the day. I put together a box of  my handmade items and decided to paint a donkey canvas for them too.

I wonder who won it, I hope they like it.
Its the first time I've painted a donkey, I know its not perfect, but I'm only learning and I did enjoy having a go.

2nd Unicorn Painting - Unicorn with flower crown

Here's the 2nd unicorn painting that I made for my aunt to choose from. I did start off taking photos as I painted then when I came back to it the next day I forgot, :(  so here's the first couple of painting in progress pics.

And here's the finished canvas

So out of the 2 which one is your favourite?
Flowing mane or Flower crown

My aunt and her grand daughter both loved the unicorn with the flower crown and it has pride of place on the wall over her bed.
