Slightly rusty but still pretty

Here's another of my samples -
A journal cover.
I couldn't make up my mind when I made this whether to keep it pretty with a bit of  sparkle or to go rusty grunge. So I did a bit of both 😁
I used the new rose embosser from Katy Sue Designs and some Starlight paint and some Rusty patina paint both from Imagination crafts.

Good afternoon crafty friends, today I would like to share a goblet I made using the new moulds from Katy Sue Designs

I do love decorating glasses, and the new peony embosser is simply stunning. I used Hearty clay and painted with Starlight paint from Imagination crafts.
Please check out the new range, Antony will be demonstrating them on Hochanda as a One Day Special next Wed 6pm and 8pm and then on Thursday at 9am, 1pm and 5pm.

Sneaky peek day 5

Heres my sample for today, its another notebook.
Using half of one of the new moulds, one eye, with another couple of moulds by Katy Sue Designs, fish, seaweed and seahorses.
I moulded them out of Hearty clay and once dry, painted them with Starlights by Imagination crafts.
The shells along the bottom are real shells.

In my mind ,this must be a water dragon :)

Ive only one more sample to show you so dont forget to come back tomorrow.

I'm entering these challenges

Thanks for looking

Altered notebooks

Afternoon all, I hope its nice and sunny where you are, coz its wet and miserable here today. But at least that means I can spend time in my craft room. 👍
For todays make I would like to share a couple of altered notebooks, in a bit of a vintage / steampunk style.

I started out by removing the back and front covers of the notebooks and used a stencil and texture paste to create a raise design, before painting with starlight paints to add colour and a shimmer.
After die cutting some cogs, clocks, locks and hinges, I painted them black and lightly rubbed over some of them with gold gilding wax to give the effect of metal. On the others I used red and gold acrylic paint, stippling it on to produce a rusty look.
These were then arranged on the notebooks with some chipboard nuts and bolts which I had painted in the same way.
Finally I stamped and embossed some words, teared around them, inked the edges and glued them in place.
The back covers were also stenciled and painted in the same way, although I have not taken any pictures to show you.
I reassembled the notebooks and Voila there you have them, finished.

I'm going to enter them into a couple of challenges:

Thanks for taking the time to look,
Hugs Sue x
