Good morning lovely crafters, I hope you have a lovely weekend planned.
Before I show you my cards for todays challenges, I think I need to explain something, My posts lately have been quite quick ones and they might become quite infrequent over the next few weeks.
My brother was diagnosed with lung cancer and a brain tumour a few weeks ago. He has spent the last couple of weeks in hospital, and yesterday I brought him home. As he lives alone I will be spending alot of my time helping to care for him over the next few weeks. I do hope that you will understand and forgive me for not keeping my blog upto date, but I fear that I may not have much time for crafting and family must come first.
Now on to the first of this weekends challenges....
Totally Gorjuss Challenge #86 Ribbon and Lace
our sponsor for this challenge is Fantastic Ribbons
My card was made for one of the dinner ladies at my daughters school, who was giving up her job to have a baby. I had to make quite a large card to enable all the other dinner ladies and staff to sign it.
As you can see I used papers and images from a forever friends CD. I printed out a few various designs and sizes and decoupaged them to look like a group of bears.
I used a strip of of ribbon and lace across the card and finished off with some tiny buttons and button brads.
I do hope you will join in and dont forget to pop over and get some more inspiration from our very talented team.
Second challenge card today is for
Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturday its a sketch challenge
Our sponsor this week is Robyns Fetish
They very kindly gave the dt images to use, I chose this cute image Five little froggies.
I used papers from a papermania pad
and printed the sentiment off the computer. I finished off with a strip of braid from stash.
Thanks for looking.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Hugs Sue x
