What have you been up to? I've started a Craft room makeover

Happy Sunday everyone,
I hope you are having a good weekend so far. What did you get up to yesterday?
Where you busy Bee's 🐝 or lazy daisy's 🌼 Whatever you've been doing I hope you managed to enjoy a little sunshine 🌞

Its been a long time since we've had a proper catch up and there's been a lot happening with some big changes for me and my family.
Firstly I lost my dad, who I miss so very much, then my daughter went off to university and my son moved in with his girlfriend, leaving me and hubby home alone with just our two german shepherd dogs and our 21 year old puss, 🐱who sadly passed at the end of last year. We've been taking one of the dogs, back and to ,to the vets where she has had 4 lots of surgery to remove cancerous tumours around her eye. Fingers crossed nothing has grown back since December and she seems ok and happy again.
Then at the beginning of this year, the stresses and strains caught up with me and I became ill myself. After having 2 months off work, I made the decision to finish work altogether and concentrate on my crafting and see if I can turn it into a little business of my own.
With that in mind I knew I needed a proper space to create in, and set up to make video tutorials and online workshops.
I decided to tackle the enormous job of sorting out my spare bedroom. I used to use it as my craft room, then my hubby took it over as his computer room then it became a dump anything and everything in it room and shut the door on it room. 🀦‍♀️ So now it looks like the hidden room in Monica's apartment, all you Friends fans will know what I mean πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ So I thought it was time to turn it back into my craft room. 😁 But where to start? - Empty it - obviouslyπŸ™„ - Remove old carpetπŸ’ͺ - Redecorate πŸ‘©‍🎨 - Put down new flooring πŸ‘‡ - Repaint furniture, tables, shelves, cupboards🎨 - Build new Ikea furniture πŸ’ͺ - Refill it with all my craft stuff, laptop and set up tripod and video equipment 🎨 πŸ’»πŸ–Œ️πŸ–️✂️ - Get back to crafting and create some videos, in my new awesome craft room. 😁 It's not finished yet , but I promise I'll keep you up to date and show you some pictures as we go along, of my Mega Craft room Makeover πŸ€ Wish me luck, I'm going back in πŸ™‹‍♀️

Thanks for sticking with me through this very long post, and for all your support and lovely comments over the last year.
Wishing you Hugs and Sunshine
Sue xx

  1. No wonder you got sick. You have had some major stress in your life in the past year never mind Covid which has placed stress on everyone. Losing a parent is tough no matter the age. I miss my mom deeply as she passed 3 yrs ago and my dad..33 years ago! I wish he could be around. I was only 23 when he died and now, I would have asked him so many questions plus I think he would be proud of me. You love your kids and you are glad they are on their way to their futures whatever that may be but I know it must have been tough to see them go and become an empty-nester. Having your furbabes become ill is also tough. My doggie has lumps everywhere and we know that some are cancerous. The vet said not are but the cost was $800 to get 2 big ones removed. I am glad you are focusing on you and I can't wait to see your new craft room and creative artistry.

    1. Hi Birgit, thanks for your lovely comments, I hope you are keeping well during these uncertain times. Sorry to hear your furbaby is poorly too, as you say the vets bills are so high, but we do our best for them, they are such a big part of our families, aren't they? Keep safe and well
